Eric Rosenfeld, Vice President, Network Architecture
Eric Rosenfeld is Vice President of Network Architecture at CableLabs®. Eric is responsible for all architecture and technology development, including the industry leading DOCSIS® and PacketCable™ technologies, for the Broadband Network Services (BNS) department. Eric was previously the Director, PacketCable Architecture, where he was in charge of the overall technical design and evolution of the PacketCable network architecture. Previous to that, Eric was the Project Director of PacketCable Security at CableLabs, where he managed the security and electronic surveillance activities of the PacketCable project.
Prior to joining CableLabs in 2001, Eric developed PKI software and managed VPN services, developed evaluation criteria for assessing the security of PKI products, architected security solutions, and advised software development groups on the development of security software. Eric holds a B.S. degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Computer Science from Syracuse University and a M.S. degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Computer Science with a Telecommunications Concentration from Johns Hopkins University.
