CableLabs® Promotes Vang and Tritt
Louisville, Colorado, April 4, 2006—CableLabs® has announced that So Vang has been promoted to Vice President, Advanced Media Platforms, in the Advanced Platforms and Services (APS) Department. In addition, P. Margit Tritt, also an APS staffer, has been promoted to Director, OpenCable™ Hardware Specifications and Test Development.
Vang, who has worked at CableLabs for more than seven years, previously was Director, OpenCable Software. In his new capacity, Vang will expand his strategic role and will take on additional management responsibilities within the APS Group. Before joining CableLabs, Vang was a Senior Analyst for Thomson Consumer Electronics. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University with emphasis on Mathematics Theory and Algorithm Optimization.
“So has shown great accomplishment in his comprehensive approach that has resulted in significant progress in the OpenCable Application Platform (OCAP™),” said Don Dulchinos, Senior Vice President of APS.
Previously, Tritt had been Project Director, OpenCable Requirements, with responsibilities that involve two-way plug-and-play devices and OpenCable unidirectional receivers. In her new role, she is adding responsibilities for the OpenCable acceptance test plan and test development team. Prior to joining CableLabs two years ago, she was a product manager with ILOG. She holds a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Metropolitan State College of Denver and is a master's candidate in the Engineering Management Program at the University of Colorado.
