CableLabs® Issues DPoE™ Specifications
The family of specifications, led by Bright House Networks, Comcast and Time Warner Cable, will enable higher velocity and highly scaled access into the business services marketplace because many suppliers already had achieved interoperability on the DOCSIS back office infrastructure.
Through DPoE technology, cable operators anticipate delivering IP and Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF)-based business and commercial services applications. A successful interoperability event based on these specifications was held last month and attracted 10 suppliers.
